How to choose wine-01

As you can see, I need help. Which is why I’m being sent on a masterclass. Yup! A blimmin’ masterclass!

You can come too. The Wine and Spirit Education Trust (an internationally recognised pack of wine geniuses) are just gagging for the opportunity to slosh some superior wine knowledge into your skull and it’s happening next week. Here are the deets:

Where: Hixter Bankside, 16 Great Guildford Street, London SE1 0HS
When: Monday 18th May & Tuesday 19th May, 18.30 ā€“ 19.45
Duration: 1 hour 15 minutes
Price: Ā£20

I’m going on Monday night, join me and we can go from wine bluff to wine buff in just over an hour. Because we’re just that talented, you and I.

If you can’t make either of those dates, there’s another one:

Where: Vinoteca Farringdon, 53-55 Beak Street, London W1F 9SH
When: Thursday 21st May, 18.30 ā€“ 21.00
Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes
Price: Ā£45

This one is about pairing food and wine and is aimed at the semi-knowledgeable (ie, you and me after the first round).

If you wanna book your space (and why wouldn’t you) visit http://www.wsetschool.com/which-course/evening-tasting/london-wine-week or call 020 7089 3800.

  • It looks fabulous. And after the event, you’ll have to tell me everything you’ve been taught!

  • Hahahaha! I laughed hard at the cartoon at the top. I have actually become the snobby first girl in recent years…but your approach sounds much more fun. Hook me up for a wine date next time I’m back please!

”We can put a candle in it. Because interior design”, this is just hilarious. I don’t drink, but if I did, I would most definitely hunt down a wine bottle sporting an image of a cat PURELY because of this fabulous blog post!

    • There’s a NZ sauvignon blanc called “Cat’s pee on a gooseberry bush”. That’s a good place to start!

  • hehe, I love the idea of the decor idea when choosing wine, I’d so do that myself šŸ˜€
